Hello, my name is David.
I’m from Galicia, in the north of Spain—a region where food is not just something we eat, but a fundamental part of our identity and way of life.
I came to Ireland with the goal of working and improving my English, while continuing to grow as a chef. Over the years, I worked hard in different restaurants in Galway, learning, evolving, and building my path in the kitchen.
Eventually, the opportunity to take over La Viña came along. That’s when I decided to fully embrace what truly represents me: the cuisine of my homeland.
Today, at La Viña, my goal is to share a piece of Spain with every guest. Traditional tapas, authentic flavors, and recipes rooted in our culture. Because for me, cooking is more than food—it’s tradition, it’s history, and it’s a way to connect with people.
